OUR STORY

"Coach," as everyone calls him, got his start in high school football in Alabama in 1975. This was before the days of YouTube videos, so if you wanted to scout an opponent or recruit a player you had to be on the road and in-and-out every little town in Alabama. Doing this you are certain to stumble across many of the world's best smokehouses. With Years of "research", Coach developed a taste for barbecue that was uniquely his. Unable to find the perfect sauce, he took matters into his own hands. Coach has been making his Yella Sauce just like this since 1980. Tangy, sweet, and just a little bit of spice is just the way he likes it.

Eventually, his career led him to Auburn University where he coached and helped lead the Tigers to the undefeated 1993 season. He went on to retire from Auburn in 1998 and still lives in the Loveliest Village on the Plains.
